Lay Me Down

Lay me down in clearer waters

where I can be stuck in a dream

holding on to memories trickling in.

where my past catches my present.

Lay me down in clearer waters

Where blue hydrangeas come falling, down, reminding me…

Lay me down in clearer waters

Where my lucid dreams get hit by reality.

Tearing me from the liveliness of optimism

Where my present leaves my future.

Lay me down in clearer waters

Where blue hydrangeas come falling, down, reminding me…

Lay me down in clearer waters

Where my heart isn’t standing still with defeat but with guidance.

Where the sun shines down on my wet pruned face -

showing me it's time to glisten.

Not to worry of when the past, present, or future

should ever have to meet.

Lay me down in clearer waters.

Human

We are human

Some uncivilized

Some adjacent to the system

Some Rich, spoiled for no good

Yet we all pity ourselves

Our self polluted minds

Wanting to be notorious for no good reason

We all overlap our tract.

Yet never wanting to understand on another.

Self indulging loafs

Never wanting to connect.

Never justifying our judgment towards our neighbor

and

Yet, we are human

Wheelbarrow

Wheelbarrow

Hidden behind the tree,

imbedded in flowers,

stands its mandibular jaw.

Feeding on seedlings,

from year's past.

Bare and stiff, it displaces,

another’s life from existence.

Corrosion sets in.

The wheel’s deteriorating-

sinking into the ground,

support no longer in its legs,

It begins to decay and speckle all over,

Like an old cardinal bird,

red and weathered down.

Impounded by depression,

it perches its disfigured wings,

waiting for lucent lighting to show.

As the rain pours in,

its unaware,

that seeds of the past,

were still enclosed.

Bit by bit, it becomes unclouded,

their roots slowly begin to grow.

A foundation,

 waiting to show,

the beautiful flower,

built

from hope.
